The just_restart() method doesn't need the build server—disabling it ensures
the helper container is created on the deployment server with the correct
network configuration and flags. The build server setting is restored before
should_skip_build() is called in case it triggers a full rebuild that requires it.
Add `is_preview_suffix_enabled` flag to `local_file_volumes` and
`local_persistent_volumes` tables, allowing per-volume control over
whether a `-pr-N` suffix is appended during preview deployments.
Defaults to `true` to preserve existing behavior. Users can disable
it for volumes containing shared config or repository scripts that
should not be isolated per PR.
When adding --project-directory to custom docker compose start commands,
use the application's host workdir if preserveRepository is true, otherwise
use the container workdir. Add tests for both scenarios and explicit paths.
- Add -i flag to explicitly specify ssh key path in git ls-remote operations
- Remove static $rules properties in favor of dynamic rules() method
- Fix test syntax error
When application->fqdn is null, COOLIFY_FQDN and COOLIFY_URL are set to null.
These null values cause nixpacks to fail parsing the config with
"invalid type: null, expected a string".
Filter out null and empty string values when generating environment variables
for the nixpacks plan JSON. Fixes#6830.
Add validateGitRef() helper function that uses an allowlist approach to prevent
OS command injection through git commit SHAs, branch names, and tags. Only allows
alphanumeric characters, dots, hyphens, underscores, and slashes.
Changes include:
- Add validateGitRef() helper in bootstrap/helpers/shared.php
- Apply validation in Rollback component when accepting rollback commit
- Add regex validation to git commit SHA fields in Livewire components
- Apply regex validation to API rules for git_commit_sha
- Use escapeshellarg() in git log and git checkout commands
- Add comprehensive unit tests covering injection payloads
Addresses GHSA-mw5w-2vvh-mgf4
Simplify the CMD healthcheck generation by removing the str_replace call that
normalizes newlines. The command is now used directly without modification,
following the pattern of centralized command escaping in recent changes.
- Add regex validation to restrict allowed characters (alphanumeric, spaces, and specific safe symbols)
- Enforce maximum 1000 character limit on healthcheck commands
- Strip newlines and carriage returns to prevent command injection
- Change input field from textarea to text input in UI
- Add warning callout about prohibited shell operators
- Add comprehensive validation tests for both valid and malicious command patterns
Remove the redundant $original_server property and use $mainServer throughout
ApplicationDeploymentJob. Both properties held the same value (the deployment
target server), causing unnecessary duplication.
Also fixes two bugs in generate_compose_file() where $this->server was used
instead of $this->mainServer for isSwarm() and isLogDrainEnabled() checks.
When using a build server, $this->server could point to the build server,
causing incorrect configuration for the deployment target.

Builder containers are started with the --rm flag, which automatically removes them when stopped. The explicit docker rm -f is redundant and adds unnecessary steps to deployment logs.
This change adds a skipRemove parameter to graceful_shutdown_container() and sets it to true for builder container shutdowns (uuid-based) while keeping the default behavior for application containers.

Helper containers are started with --rm flag which automatically removes the container when it stops. Removed redundant docker rm commands from graceful_shutdown_container in ApplicationDeploymentJob and replaced docker rm with docker stop in DatabaseBackupJob.

When build server is enabled, $this->server points to the build server.
The log drain configuration check was using $this->server which would
incorrectly check the build server's settings instead of the deployment
server where the container actually runs.
This fix ensures log drain configuration is correctly applied based on
the deployment server's settings by using $this->original_server.
Prevent deployment status from regressing to FAILED after it's marked as FINISHED by:
1. Calling completeDeployment() first in post_deployment() before any operations that could fail
2. Wrapping all post-deployment side effects in try-catch blocks
3. Adding FINISHED to terminal states that cannot be changed
4. Protecting ExecuteRemoteCommand from overwriting FINISHED status
This fixes the issue where a deployment with a healthy container and successful rolling update was still marked as Failed in the UI.

For Docker Compose applications with build directives, inject commit-based
image tags (uuid_servicename:commit) to enable rollback functionality.
Previously these services always used 'latest' tags, making rollback impossible.
- Only injects tags for services with build: but no explicit image:
- Uses pr-{id} tags for pull request deployments
- Respects user-defined image: fields (preserves user intent)

Filter out null and empty environment variables when generating Nixpacks build
configuration to prevent JSON parsing errors. Environment variables with null or
empty values were being passed as `--env KEY=` which created invalid JSON with
null values, causing deployment failures.
This fix ensures only valid non-empty environment variables are included in both
user-defined and auto-generated COOLIFY_* environment variables.

Moved .log-highlight styles from Livewire component views to resources/css/app.css for better separation of concerns and reusability. This follows Laravel and Livewire best practices by keeping styles in the appropriate location rather than inline in component views.
Changes:
- Added .log-highlight styles to resources/css/app.css
- Removed inline <style> tags from deployment/show.blade.php
- Removed inline <style> tags from get-logs.blade.php
- Added XSS security test for log viewer
- Applied code formatting with Laravel Pint

Fixes#7439 where successful deployments were being marked as FAILED due to exceptions during old container cleanup.
Root cause: Commit 97550f406 wrapped stop_running_container() in try-catch that re-throws ALL exceptions as DeploymentException. When old containers are already removed (a common scenario), the "No such container" error propagates and marks successful deployments as failed.
Solution: Check if deployment has already succeeded (newVersionIsHealthy || force) before re-throwing exceptions from cleanup operations. Cleanup failures are logged but don't fail the deployment.
- Add conditional handling in stop_running_container() catch block
- Log cleanup warnings with hidden: true to avoid UI clutter
- Only re-throw exceptions if deployment hasn't succeeded yet
- Preserves backward compatibility and expected behavior

The regex pattern in injectDockerComposeBuildArgs() was too restrictive
and failed to match `docker compose build servicename` commands. Changed
the lookahead from `(?=\s+(?:--|-)|\s+(?:&&|\|\||;|\|)|$)` to the
simpler `(?=\s|$)` to allow any content after the build command,
including service names with hyphens/underscores and flags.
Also improved the ApplicationDeploymentJob to use the new helper function
and added comprehensive test coverage for service-specific builds.

Refactors generate_buildtime_environment_variables() to use an associative
array (dictionary) approach instead of sequential push() calls. This prevents
duplicate variable declarations in the buildtime.env file.
**Problem:**
After adding nixpacks plan variables to buildtime.env, the same variable
could appear twice in the file:
- Once from nixpacks plan (e.g., NIXPACKS_NODE_VERSION='22')
- Once from user-defined variables (e.g., NIXPACKS_NODE_VERSION="22")
This caused shell errors and undefined behavior during Docker builds.
**Root Cause:**
The push() method adds items sequentially without checking for duplicate
keys. When a variable existed in both nixpacks plan AND user-defined vars,
both would be written to the file.
**Solution:**
- Use associative array ($envs_dict) for automatic deduplication
- Establish clear override precedence:
1. Nixpacks plan variables (lowest priority)
2. COOLIFY_* variables (medium priority)
3. SERVICE_* variables (medium priority)
4. User-defined variables (highest priority - can override everything)
- Convert to collection format at the end
- Add debug logging when user variables override plan variables
**Benefits:**
- Automatic deduplication (array keys are unique by nature)
- User variables properly override nixpacks plan values
- Clear, explicit precedence order
- No breaking changes to existing functionality
